ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jay, and my pronouns are they / she. I live in the Twin Cities, MN with my partner and our three cats.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and a minor in Anthropology from Berry College. More recently, I completed my master’s degree in teaching at Hamline University, and am a licensed K-6 teacher in the state of Minnesota.

Helping people has always been a driving force in my professional career, and I have found my past experiences working as a caregiver, and educator to be deeply meaningful.

During my time in classrooms, I witnessed how integral technology is to both teaching and learning, and I began to wonder how digital products are created to serve the needs of diverse populations of users.

This curiosity led me to complete a UX/UI Design boot camp in 2023, and ignited a newfound passion for user-centered design, and all things related to UX!

As a person with an analytical mind, who is driven to solve problems, and thrives on being creative, the world of UX offers an exciting opportunity to combine my interests and strengths for the purpose of helping others.

I am currently seeking a Junior UX/UI position, and am eager to join a team where I can contribute, collaborate, and continue to learn. If you feel that I might be a good fit for a role you are looking to fill, please reach out! I would love to discuss the possibilities!
